Method

We searched Google for reddit statistics, reddit user statistics and reddit traffic statistics, read the statistics pages that ranked, and counted how many of them repeat each number. Each outside number was traced to the organisation that produced it and checked against that page on September 24, 2026. User and revenue figures come from Reddit's own quarterly results; a daily active unique is anyone Reddit can identify who opened the site or app that day, logged in or not. Traffic figures from Semrush and Similarweb are panel-based estimates and disagree with each other. Few peer-reviewed papers measure Reddit's size, so the three papers here cover research use and moderation. AnswerPlug numbers come from the thread records in AnswerPlug's database: every Reddit post its search pulled for 10 products between August 17 and September 24, 2026, with the relevance verdict and comment count stored at the time.
